A local manufacturer serving the aerospace industry, including clients such as Pratt & Whitney, faced a critical disruption when their lead software/controls engineer was sidelined by a major health issue. This posed a serious risk to both their equipment production and the on-site support services they provided to customers. We stepped in immediately to maintain operations without interruption. Over the course of the year, we not only sustained day-to-day functionality but also trained a new engineer to assume the role permanently. During this time, we developed their next-generation control system, enabling the successful delivery of more than a dozen new machines, while also supporting a comparable number of in-house systems.
Engineering Leadership and Automation Expansion for Framing Industry Leader
We led the engineering department of a top-tier framing equipment manufacturer as they transitioned from basic motorized tools to fully automated CNC cutting systems. In addition to designing two major equipment platforms for their product line, we created and implemented a comprehensive internal documentation process. This initiative standardized their design practices and supported scalable manufacturing. The success of these systems led to the sale of over 1,000 units across the United States.
