GD Automation has worked closely with a variety of companies in diverse industries to develop new systems and to cost-effectively enhance the capabilities of new and existing machines. Much of our business centers around improving our customers’ existing equipment. Whether it’s retrofitting a modern controller to legacy machinery or developing an advanced control system for a new product line, we apply the same rigorous principles and deep technical knowledge. We’ve worked with a wide variety of motion controllers, PLCs, drives, and VFDs—integrating them seamlessly into both new and existing designs. We have been informed by several of our drive vendors that we are among a very limited number of companies still offering full support for the replacement and servicing of DC drives.

Safety is a top priority. In today’s fast-paced manufacturing environments, operators often face shorter learning curves, which can increase exposure to potential hazards. At the same time, safety regulations have become more stringent. Our team designs robust safety systems that meet or exceed current standards, and we take pride in our attention to safety—both in practice and in our circuit designs. It’s a core strength of our work.

But our capabilities go far beyond electrical controls and software development. We bring extensive mechanical experience to the table, working closely with customers to ensure that the mechanical aspects of the system are engineered for success. While many integrators overlook the importance of mechanical integration, we understand that properly sizing a servo motor requires accurate assessment of friction, inertia, and system dynamics. Sometimes, a simple change in gear ratio or gearbox selection can make the difference in achieving optimal performance.
